It seems that the sofa was still beckoning with a select field of 18 players getting a little practice with a card (not the Christmas variety) in their hand. It seemed as though the vice-captain was getting in a little on-course practice before the big prizes were coming (its great writing this in hindsight!!

New Years Eve Texas Scramble December 31st
A lot of people out playing with 84 players and 21 teams taking part before they went off for the evenings celebrations. Scoring was exceptional, the likes of which are rarely seen!! A net of around 54 would normally get you close to the top prize but unfortunately not today where you were almost three shots away.

MEN’S Competition Thursday January 2nd
With the celebrations of the past few weeks over, some sort of normality resumes. A field of 34 players starting the day saw some good scoring and the returning Tim Vincent (Doggie) immediately in the winners enclosure with 39 points. A group of three players behind him were in a photo finish being decided on handicap and best back 9 on 38 points.

A very large field of 46 players meaning two divisions. It seemed it was a day for the Captain and his vice. Something obviously went wrong as the Vice overtook the Captain. A competitive day overall with 31 points only in 23rd place!! Michael Keane receiving the sponsors prize finishing top of the leaderboard with 40 points.

THREE KINGS SUNDAY JANUARY 5th 2025
The annual Three Kings tournament took place with a slightly earlier start to avoid the heavy rain that was forecast. Needless to say the Met Office workers are looking for alternative employment as the warning seems to have been a hoax. Regardless of the forecast 87 players participated in this annual event with many staying for lunch after the game. The recent form of the Captains continued with the Lady Captain, Nicky Triay successful on the day with a great score of 41 points. Frank Breuer being pipped by a single point with 40 points. The always steady Bill Fletcher finishing third with 38 points. Yours truly a further point behind with 37.
