Hola ladies,

I must start this letter with some sad news, which I share with a heavy heart ❤️ 😔

It is with great sadness that we share the news of the passing of our dear member, Ray Seamer. He was not only a passionate golfer, but also a wonderful friend whose warmth, kindness, and good spirit enriched our club for many years. In addition to his love for golf, he was a very talented pianist, and his music brought joy to all who had the pleasure of hearing him play. His loss leaves a great void in our community.

Our heartfelt sympathy goes to his wife, Helen Seamer, and his family. We wish them strength and comfort during this difficult time.

Ray will always be remembered with gratitude and affection ❤️🙏🏼

Lady Captain’s Weekly News 25th August 2025

There is not too much to report from last week. Our San Roque Old Course was closed for maintenance from 19th to 26th August, and therefore both roll-ups were played on the New Course. Participation was rather low, but nevertheless the ladies enjoyed their golf.

As I also took a short break this week, I would like to extend my warm thanks to our past captains, Linda and Nicky, who kindly stepped in on my behalf 😊 🌸

On Tuesday 25th August, four ladies played a friendly match Linda, Tammy, Liz D. and Christine.

Linda reported that play was a little slow, which gave them the chance to take some photos on the tee box.

Then on Thursday 27th August, only three ladies turned up, but they still enjoyed a pleasant and friendly round – Nicky, Agi and Tammy.

Our greenkeepers have worked very hard this week. The results will show in a few weeks.
