Dear Ladies,
This week, we saw some fantastic scoring in our ladies’ roll-ups, despite the testing conditions, with high humidity and sea mist adding an extra challenge. The week concluded with our Monthly Medal on Sunday, rounding off another enjoyable week of golf at the Club. 
We were also delighted to welcome a fantastic new addition to the Club, the San Roque Food Truck, which opened on Monday! Some of our ladies have already taken the opportunity to sample what’s on offer.
Located at the Driving Range, the food truck will be open daily from 11:00am to 4:00pm and will serve as our new Halfway House. As there will be no buggy bar on the course for the time being, please remember to purchase any drinks or snacks you may need before teeing off or when passing after nine holes.
The menu will change throughout the year, and I’m sure you’ll all enjoy this exciting new addition to our Club facilities! 
IMPORTANT COURSE CLOSURE INFORMATION : 17 to 23 AUGUST
With the Old Course closing for essential maintenance this week, please take note of the following information regarding golf arrangements, facilities and opening hours during this period.
Our ladies’ roll-ups on Tuesday, 18 August and Thursday, 20 August will be played on the New Course. Both competitions will be unfederated, and members can enter as usual through the San Roque Club app. Susie will be in charge this week when I’m away.
All other New Course tee-time reservations during the closure will be coordinated through the Membership Office. If you would like to arrange a tee time outside the Tuesday and Thursday competitions, please contact Alicia directly, who will be happy to assist with your booking.
- Caddy Master: Open from 7:00am to 6:30pm.
If you are playing the New Course or another course and need to collect your
clubs, please do so within these hours.
- Pizza Corner & Food Truck: Closed for the entire week.
- Driving Range: Closed on Wednesday 19 August.
- Putting Green: Closed for the entire week.
- Pro Shop: Open from 9:00am to 6:00pm.
- Bar & Kitchen: Open from 9:00am to 7:00pm.
Please also note that from 24 to 31 August, buggies will be restricted to paths only, including for Blue Flag users. During this period, the Member’s Guest Green Fee will be reduced to €90 per person. 
MID WEEK 18 HOLE COMPETITIONS
11 AUGUST – LADIES TUESDAY COMPETITION
8 ladies enjoyed perfect playing conditions, despite the temperature reaching 31°C, and there was some excellent scoring from our small field. We were delighted to welcome Natalia Edelamann to her very first ladies’ roll-up, which also happened to fall on her birthday 
Jules Hale took 1st place with 39 points, while 3 ladies scored 36 points. In handicap order, Anne Middlehurst finished 2nd, Agi Savitz 3rd, narrowly beating Serena McIvor on handicap. Well played, ladies!

6 AUGUST – LADIES THURSDAY COMPETITION
⛳ 8 ladies teed off at 8:30 am in an incredible 95% relative humidity! Huge congratulations to Bobbi Jons, who mastered the muggy conditions to score a fantastic 43 points, followed by Nicky Triay in 2nd place with 37 points and Jules Hale in 3rd with 35 points. A special mention to Nicky for recording her 1st Birdie of the year, we’re sure there will be plenty more to come! 🐦👏

⛳12 ladies competed in the August Monthly Medal, kindly sponsored by VinoMarket. Despite the grey, humid conditions and a strong wind picking up over the back 9, there was some fantastic scoring. Congratulations to the winner, Nicky Triay, who won the medal with a superb 3-under-par! Malene Bjorlow finished 2nd with an excellent 1-under-par, followed by Noelle Casey in 3rd place with a level-par score.
