The last week of January has proved challenging with the weather. The competition on Tuesday was a wash out. Jules, myself and Tammy did attempt to play but came in after the 2nd – love this game but not that much!! Luckily, the rest of the week saw the return of blue skies so normal play resumed for Thursday and Saturday. The above photo was taken on Sunday – not bad for the 2nd of February !!
Agi Savitz, our team Captain is looking for one more lady to play in the quadrangular at Sotogrande on Sunday 23rd February. This is another fabulous course and like San Roque the lunch is always delicious!! Please contact Agi or respond to Alicia’s email.
Gary & I have our final commission meeting on Thursday. I have found these meetings very informative with Stephen updating us on the Club. Our job as Captains is to represent the membership to the best of our abilities.
We also have our monthly meeting with Borja regarding the course on Monday. I will update you next week.

We all braved the terrace for prize giving – blankets and fires needed. Thank you as always to Amanda Stanford for her generous sponsorship and Liz for buying us all a round of drinks to celebrate her win.
The leader board has not changed with myself, Tanya and Ksenia still at the top. Svetlana who is lying fourth was away playing golf in Scotland. The final ranking is on Sunday 2nd March and we will go out in reverse order with the top three going last. The top 6 ladies also qualify to play in the Annual Seve Trophy. The teams comprise of Captains past and present versus the Ranking Team. The format is a fourball better ball match play. The competition is played over 27 holes on the old course – 9 and then 18 – It is a great day and as always highly competitive. Lots of places on the ranking team are up for grabs.
AND FINALLY
Fatima mentioned that unfortunately there has been another theft. Please continue to be vigilant on the course. If you see anything suspicious, please contact the caddy masters immediately. Yet again a reminder not to take any valuables whilst playing golf. Please leave them in your lockers.
The club are looking at replacing the outside furniture – watch this space.
