Hola ladies,
After the big event on Sunday, last week started off on a much quieter note.
Monday was an extremely hot day – temperatures soared just over 40°C, and the wind felt like it was blowing straight from a hairdryer. The only places one could truly enjoy were by the pool, at the beach, or in an air-conditioned room.
During the week, we held our regular Midweek Competitions, and the Ranking Competition took place on Saturday generously sponsored Amanda Stanford – Abbeygate Insurance

MIDWEEK COMPETITION
29th JULY LADIES TUESDAY COMPETITION PLAYED OF 49
After the scorching Monday, Tuesday morning brought a much welcome change in weather. The day started off a bit cloudy, but the sun soon broke through and shone brightly. Thanks to the cool breeze from the east, the temperature remained pleasant throughout the day.
Eleven ladies joined and played some great golf. Rachel had an outstanding round and took the win of the day – well done!
Congratulations to our Net President’s Cup winner, Debbie, who is once again successfully bringing her handicap down.

The morning offered ideal conditions for golf—mild temperatures and a soft overcast sky that made for a truly enjoyable atmosphere.
Twelve ladies took to the course, ready to face its many challenges with focus and energy.
One group stood out not only for their performance but also for their coordinated style—I named them the “Blue Team”, as they were all dressed in blue. They played brilliantly and posted some impressive scores.

WEEKEND COMPETITION
2nd AUGUST LADIES RANKING SPONSORED BY ABBEYGATE PLAYED OF 49
Sixteen ladies competed in the August Ranking, enjoying a pleasant start with light winds — but conditions soon became more testing as the wind picked up.
Tricky pin positions added to the challenge, and many of us found it tough to score well on the day.

Course update from Borja:
Works for this week:
- Today fertilize all Bermuda and greens
- This week working on area right on green 12 ( to stop de ball going down) and also area on left 13th fairway ( between cart path and rough)
- Keep working on mulch
Many of you have been asking about the rough around the tee areas on holes 1 and 10…
Borja explained to us that the rough has been removed to create a smoother transition, similar to the tee area on hole 18, and to better integrate the teeing area into the short fairway cut.
The final result will be similar to the ladies’ tee on the 18th hole.
