MEN'S CAPTAIN WEEKLY NEWS

11 December 2023

Greetings from a cold, but very sunny London today! Last week we enjoyed a great performance of Sunset Boulevard at the Savoy Theatre as well as the Impressionists exhibition at the Royal Academy. It was also good to catch up with Tony and Marie Maycock yesterday for dinner at a great Indian restaurant in Westminster called Yaatra.
I am sure that the brief break has done me some good and, above all, I needed a rest from golf. Quite a lot going on at San Roque in my absence…

Results from last week:
Monday 4 December: Inter Club Match v La Manga (Home)

This was a great day . Our guests from La Manga loved the course and the quality of the greens. The early drizzle cleared away quickly to allow good playing conditions. We have an invite for a return match at La Manga. Thank you to Gary and Ramón for their help in organising this fixture.
Overall Result: San Roque 13 La Manga 5

Five good ones from Lee Trevino:
“You can talk to a fade, but a hook won’t listen.”
“Pressure is when you play for five dollars a hole with only two in your pocket.”
“You can’t teach passion. You can teach everything else.”
“No one who ever had lessons would have a swing like mine.”
“When it comes to the game of life, I figure I’ve played the whole course!”
